PCSC Championship Race No 5 1/12/2012

 

 

 

For a Championship day .. there were few yachts,

 

few dinghies.. and plenty of room for crew.. must be coming up to Xmas...

 

 

Doctor'e Orders was last to leave the creek..

 

                                      Immigrant was full of confidence as they headed to the line ..

                                            The crew on Solitaire evan looked ready for battle..

                                                on No Problem we imported some youth and muscle..!

 

Tuan had the sunroof on..

 

 

  The tourists were aboard.. oops .. that's the crew...

 

 

                                              Solitaire gave no quarter as Immigrant tried a port start..

                                    ..not too successfully one has to say..

                                                                                     

                                                     The Diamond made headway..

                                                    .. but they were bickering  along the way..

                                             The crew were cruising on Doctor's Orders

                                                                                 
                          Immigrant tried to look serious..   while the kids played on deck..    

                                             Lex was too colourful to be taken seriously...

                         there was a sparkle on the water....

                               ....  the guys on Solitaire worked it all the way..

                                                                  Tuan's crew kept their cool..

                                                                       
                                            Tom Urie was worth his weight in gold...

we were not supposed to be racing

 

so   ..........We followed the fleet ....

                                             Solitaire rounded the mark -

                                            Immigrant under spinnaker far away....

                                                                                   
                                                          a quiet moment ..

 

for a boat not racing we were catching up..

 

 

                         you have to admit.. that little boat always looks like it's heading somewhere big.....

                                                                                

CCYC Round the Bay Yacht Race 24th November 2012

                 As Doctor's Orders rounded the T4 mark, they shot off with cracked sheets......

                                                                           
            Tony was reminiscing about another time where the multi hull brigade achieved glory...

In the cruising division Tuan looked graceful...

And below deck , Lynne apparently had the nap roster well organised!

Da'Luke also joined in the fun, but weren't in sight for any photos...!

Slim's conversion to being a trimaran sailor is well underway... not that he'll admit it... not on the three beer ration!

There were colourful characters (and wardrobes) abound!

Whilst other's enjoyed the fine conditions!

Or just took in the scenery...

But rest assured there was a lot of hard work to be done by all!

                                                                                      

Championship again, but the weather was dirty!!

 

                           The water was a muddy brown, the sky and dirty grey and the only colour was the bright orange of the new pacer sails and the colourful wet weather jackets of crew on  yachts!


                             this week,
                                         in no particular order,
                                                                     there was chaos amd mayhem,
                                                            
            twisted kites, trailing ropes, head buttting booms and everyone was

                                                        wet, wet, wet....................

                                                                         

                               
                   .. theres no chance Callum is ever going to be out of a job on Immigrant!

                                                      Peter discovered just how harrd a boom can be...

                                    ... and swimming looked to be on the agenda..

                                 .. Greg maintained it was drier on the trapeze than in the boat!!

                               .. only the young looked comfortable..

                                                                            

                                          .. everything looked better in black and white

                                         Dirk was ready to rock and roll..
