The 4RO Round the Bay Race

The cruise North to Rosslyn Bay on Friday was comfortable and pleasant- Blue skies and a gentle breeze made the whole Friday days work very enjoyable!
If we saw a sail or  two on the horizon we assumed it was Loco and Immigrant and we would move into 'let's catch them mode" for a while until an unknown cruiser would appear and we'd all go back to relaxing!

Ray never likes to leave the work behind

Immigrant and Loco may have arrived into the Rosslyn Bay Marian first, but they spent a wee time exploring the mud before making it to the actual pontoon! Rosslyn Bay club is prepared for this now as they send a boat out with a few refreshments!

Morning bought race preparations

Heat Three Series B ( as if that means anything to anybody!)

Here's a challenge - why don't we have a competition to name the series races for next year?
We could name them after the barges we pass - the Manta Ray Barge Challenge, or the Coastal Flyer Fast Cat Series, or the Curtis Island Travellers Trophy. I'm sure we could find appropriate sponsors !

So here's Immigrant doing it's thing with a nicely selected orange headsail.
A good photographers choice for  maximum exposure!

Does that look more " Cruising the island to you?"

                                      no same old wharves..........................

A nice and very thoughtful skipper of this barge - he stopped for the fleet again!
Brien !                 Give the man a free meal ticket!

Jackson was out there going it alone...............

Da Lukje had the best looking crew.................

did Roger have the lures set this week?..............

                               The challenge was there.................

                                   Rag Top arrived ...

                                    with a colourful crew .............

Da Lukje was on the hunt after Immigrant..

Tom and John versus big barge.................

The start of the dinghy fleet - outnumbering the yachts this week!

It was getting a little crowded for one wee boat.................

Steve and son on the hobie cat.............

John's 'mo' was weighing him down.......

Martin and Hannah were neck and neck...........

spot the hitch hiker this week.................

A possible cup sponsor zoomed past...................

The stat boat rocked and rolled ............

and this week....................... Lynne had the last word!
