Sprint series races are good fun ...........
we all get to mix it together in the same waters for the afternoon...
so i can keep a camera eye on the wee people ............
Leaving the marina .. the water was beautiful and blue.
but down the harbour .. the tide was rushing out...
.. the dinghies were out in Impulse, Lasers, Pacers and Cats
Martin took wife Maree for a sail.... Risky business... as we all know..
Jackson was in spectacular form..
Dirk and son Sean were out in yellow...
Brad and mate were Pacer bound..
Solitaire took the first start....
and the Doc followed us in No Problem...small problems anyway...
......a Diamond of the first water.....
the fleet was small but ............everyone gave there all ...
there was competition on the water...
.. not much with sail though
.. there was action aplenty
.. see we told you it was a risky business Martin....
as Maree considered her options..... looking to bail....
Solitaire performed ....
In Race 2
Tom took over the helm.... cause he had an inkling ...
that life was going to get 'Gilligan' tough........
.. and so TONY the story goes....like this ... to the ferocious sounds of flogging sail
.. they sent Peter.......
.. the owner appeared....
'cause when the sails are flogging ... the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$are wasting..
.. sons are better on the helm....
.. or so they say....
so while Lex is counting the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
and getting everything tied up....
Tom could get them screaming on their way ....
and another thing.....................
....with all those big ships ....
playing on the same field....
It was a case of Dirk and Goliath out there
so....... a big Thankyou to those Club members who look after us
. ..... so everyone gets home safely by sunset....
