My favourite shot for the day !!

After finishing the season two weeks ago-
suddenly we have two more weeks of competition announced!
I'm not complaining- softer winter light, better colours , beautiful blue skies some good action ...
Eight Impulse sailors and a 1'25 turned out to re -run a missing Championship Race...
It was a tightly packed fleet for the start
David Cue changed tack early to get clean air
Scot was rugged up for winter
William was visiting from Keppel Bay
Steve was putting in a big effort
Long legs have to help!
Plenty of height .. one way or another
it was packed at the windward mark
The tug playing at A7 gave us plenty to think about
but he backed off to watch the race
The wind was fluky
Windspiel and Pigs in Space sailed side by side for a while
Everyone went round again .. places changing leg by leg
... and that was just in their own boat!!
Family racing ..
Ray and Maria fought to the finish
Maria was determined to propel that boat over the line first ...
Race Two confused us..
boats were going backwards .. sideways, not much forward motion
A re start for the Keppel visitors
Every which way...
some nice action ..
Formation racing ...
Around the mark one more time ...
... distant yachts returning from the Fairway Buoy Race
Next Saturday is the Donald Davey Memorial Race - start time is 10 am
This is an important event for long time member Graham Davey
