I really wanted to go for a sail on the boat today......... but the wind was blowing hard and even though it was a sou' wester , and the harbour looked flat , i bailed!............ Hopefully tomorrow will be a champagne and cruise day! in the meantime, here are a few photos from the start ......
To set the scene........
four yachts signed on to brave the windy day.......
the tide was running out at a rapid pace for the 11 am start........................
Immigrant was out early getting the new crew blooded..........
Solitaire played for a while as well....
Hard getting all that gear on............
Here followed Intrigue .. a little short handed...
back and forth .. back and forth...
giving the bods on Immigrant time to get all that wet weather gear on...
At last .... the gun had gone, and the boat we'd all been waiting for, arrived on the scene
streaming past , late as usual............Ray hmmm.. " No Problem"
still getting organised ......fenders? skipper on the bow??
what a great cat .................
and so they all departed for a fast race to the Fairway .. all finishing within minutes of each other.
