" Ken.. do we have to go out there today? ".... she whined !!!
The fleets were depleted, the grey skies and hazy conditions making for an afternoon where sailors must have found more colourful things to do!
Some of us though just have to be there... and lucky we did !
Over to Quoin Channel the dinghies went ....
while Restless sailed a lonesome race.
Oh for the days of having Immigrant, Loco , No Problem, Piranha and more .
this was just the start of Wills day ....
Maria and Tim were at cross purposes
Peter was flying around the course, while David did start boat duties ...again...
Steve was first around the windward mark
getting some practise in at Tannum between golfing ...
Ray not far behind.. that new sail has made a difference !!
Who is this we all asked? The shirt looks familiar.. |
....the smile struck a chord!
... but no! It wasn't Jeff Paul... it was Bruce Potter from Bundaberg...
Jeff .... are you sure you don't have a twin?...
We are going to have to speak to Shirley....
It was one of those afternoons ... we needed chocolate ..
Big ships ... everything black and white...
Bruce did well on the pacer ... he is a Nacra sailor.. after all!
Will impressed ...the new sail working a treat John Ibell
a face full of spray doesn't hurt!
side by side .. for a while
The anticipation makes it fun... Will she save it !
all I am saying is " Oops"!
Trekking trekking ....
Tim was finding a new level of performance with HIS new sail too....
You can tell the Nationals are coming soon...
the bows were flying clear
so far so good ...
great buoy rounding ...
....and from here it was all down hill..
.
new mast ready for this week Will....
"No Problem" from your sponsors John and Ray
Well done Morgan .. you followed through too!
It is off to the Round The Bay Race next weekend ...
so a Saturday afternoon poolside at Rosslyn Bay for me....
I know about that race .... and I can honestly say " I have not one good memory of it over 25 years!
