Orc Series Handicap start

Thunderous black skies , lightening strikes and a drenching - all in a yachties day!

But first everyone had to get out there and Fuzzy needed a little help at the start............



                   The pontoon was busy with preparations.......

             while everyone back at the club, including Gedrick's REAL driver, and the Upshot crew went

( and we never saw Muriel again????????????)

Wayfarer watched the show .............

                                                                          

                         however, after some fancy footwork in the creek they sorted themselves out..

                                                                                  
 Robbie and i got our REAL driver back.............

                                                                                  

                                                   so the race did start ......

              this week it was Super Freaky 
....all seemed deceptively under control.........................

Some people will go to lots of trouble to go for a sail.................

   
                     like Dudley............... who came 'Special Delivery'

               on Piranha ... there is a good woman in charge..............well she's practising !!!.

             and she has a few role models................................

            ..................   maybe it was High Tea?

   Immigrant had the lady boss aboard.........while Jeff and  the boys did rescue duty.........

                                                       Jan got Liqidator over the start line .........

                                           on upshot they tried their hardest to get rid of the girls  ...

                                                                                   

                   .............Dirk would have saved her as Rag top came past........

                     Barry had Jeanine and Sophie to keep him sweet.......

               On No Problem we tried scare tactics...................

                                                  but the girls hung in there...............

Heats Four and Five of the CQ titles - held at Rosslyn Bay Yeppoon.

Well it was a day that definitely lacked for colour.Rosslyn Bay was still brown and muddy from the floods, the wind was gusty up at Wreck Point where I took a few photos, and the sky was grey all over. Most of the shots look as though I took them in Black and white!

             Situation Normal arrived a little late and were a longggggg.... way away , however  lookin good..

                                and with such a dull outlook is it any wonder i gave up and went home?

as the Impulse sailors rigged up...

while mum, Jenny was doing her part...............
